Intimate Wedding in Bend Oregon

An Intimate wedding in Bend Oregon at the end of September. This wedding was straight out of a romance movie. Emily & Pieter are such a beautiful couple and I was giddy the whole day with each detail they had planned. I’m obsessed with this quilt line as the backdrop to the day, cozying up this autumn wedding day even further. This backyard Bend Oregon intimate wedding had a mix of casual & class. The autumn sun even visited us with warmth we bathed in.

They included their two precious dogs throughout the whole day, and you’ll see them in more than a few of the photos. 🙂

This table-scape begs to be on the forefront of your mind as you plan your own backyard elopement. Candles, mismatched wooden chairs, and organic greens popping with color.

E + P’s three siblings officiated the wedding ceremony, while their parents accompanied them down the ‘aisle’. This ceremony was easily one of the most unique I’ve ever had the pleasure to photograph. They included their dog with a promenade around them before the start, and they held their niece up like Simba— its the little things like this that make me love photographing fun and untraditional weddings and elopements.

They concluded the ceremony with a toss of lady bugs and celebratory champagne and paper twirlers before we grabbed those important group portraits.

Croquet is EASILY the cutest wedding game! (and you’ll look like english royalty playing in your wedding attire) Bonus if you’re like this crew and make your own house rules to keep the laughs and competition high. 🙂

Intimate weddings and elopements like this one don’t typically have a bridal party, which makes even more time and creativity for just the bridal portraits. I’m drooling over her dress honestly and fcking love the way it catches the autumn sunshine just perfectlyyyy. His suite pairs with her dress exceptionally. These two just have phenomenal taste. They mentioned in our consult communication that they wanted to find a way to include their e-bike, and I think we couldn’t have done it better justice. The autumn colors sure did us just right too ahhhhh

Intimate wedding first dances? check. Your immediate family serenading you while your iphone plays the song to dance to? check. Bottomless champagne and wine to keep the celebration vibes flowing? check.

Finishing off the night with a candlelit dinner prepared by a private chef is one way to end the perfect elopement day. The chefs even gave me a private bite and I can confirm it was exceptionallll.

If you’re planning your own intimate wedding / elopement, take a page from this day and make it unique to YOU— whether thats bridal portraits on your motorcycle, a ceremony in the middle of a lake on a sailboat, or something completely different. Everything goes!
