Winter engagements in Bend are some of my favorite sessions to do during “off season” when weddings aren’t taking so much of a driver seat. Bend does not get that much snow, which is nice if you live here– but if you want to get those dreamy snowy winter engagement photos its just a short 40 minute drive up to the mountains and snow.
Chad + Libby have such a cute cozy winter style— can i raid your closet girl? Pleassseee? No but seriously I love helping my couples with their engagement session outfits so I have created a pinterest board of couples outfit inspo you can view HERE (thank me later babe)
Since we were in the snowy forest up in the cascade lakes highway, it was colddd of course! If you’re planning your engagement session and worried about the chill, don’t be. I have the solution! We take lots of breaks to warm up. Also, I always bring those little “hot hands” to keep in your pockets and warm up your fingers. Genius right? I do advise to bring lots of layers, even if you plan to only wear a light layer its nice to have something nearby for breaks.
I LOVE playing around with these multiple exposures!!!!!!! This was my first time shooting a multiple exposure for a winter engagement in Bend and I’m geeking at how CUTE these are?!?!
Normally at this location you would be able to see Mt Bachelor, but with the snowfall it wasn’t visible. If you hike Tumalo Mtn in snowshoes, you can also see some really frickin epic views of the cascade mountain range. Worth it if you’re an avid snowshoer!! (also, I mean just bring your snowboard up with you and you get to snowboard all the way down)
okay okay okay I will always think a champagne spray is a good idea for your engagement photos. This was the wrap up of our shoot and what better way could we have ended the engagement shoot? love.
