SOMETHING about the way movies make you feel, an old rom-com that you rewatch time and time again because it never gets old seeing them fall in love in 90 minutes. I’m completely partial and I like oldddd movies way more than anything that has come out in the last 8 years. (But thats just me don’t come for me!!)
Making your engagement photos feel cinematic, is not about the poses or the outfits. Its about your connection with each other. Feeling comfortable enough with me, to relax into each other.
These two have such a youthful playful vibe. We had so much fun just lolligagging around Drake Park in Bend. I actually photographed Emily’s graduation photos back in 2019, so it was such a honor that she asked me to photographer her engagement and wedding this year!
When planning this engagement photo shoot, she sent me her Pinterest Board of inspiration. It was heavily laced with soft romance, and cinematic film inspired photos. We decided on Drake Park in Bend, because i knew it would offer a blend of urban downtown vibes, with the large green park dappled in trees giving us a nature slice. No matter how many times I shoot photos at Drake Park I never get tired of it. Every season, time of day, and client I work with offers something memorable and unique.
Each couple I photograph has a their own personality and style. Its one of my favorite parts of this work, there is so much to be discovered about my couples at each engagement session. When you think of getting your engagement photos taken, I hope you picture wandering around laughing, kissing your fiance, taking in the beautiful location, and making core memories.
You get to be you. Theres nothing better than that.
